Hot off the Presses for Our Big Upcoming Event on April 15th
A recap of our recent reporting plus bonus content.
Our locally printed zines have been picked up, while we are putting our finishing touches on the accompanying 50 minute documentary Seasons of Growth.
Both will be offered for free one week from now on the evening of April 15th starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Holland Project at 140 Vesta Street.
We would love to have you watch four #sheroesofreno showing how positive, supportive, environmental change is possible in the Biggest Little City, small plot by small plot, healthy food pantry by food pantry, followed by a discussion on how to make the 775 a greener, healthier, happier and more compassionate place.
This will mark 10 years of Our Town Reno as a collective, experimental, hyperlocal journalistic initiative, and it would be an honor to meet you in person or to reconnect for a communal, uplifting event if you are available that evening.
It will be a great opportunity for locals to network and think about the present and future, and what we want northern Nevada to be.
April 15th is Tax Day so this can be our local version of a tax day protest, by showing how we as a community can be more self-reliant, connected, helpful to each other and green, as we should be, to save ourselves and our ecosystem before more fires rage upon us, more heat creating exclusive districts are promoted, and more hate is spewed and implemented to tear us apart and create different categories of humans, both nationally and locally.
