We know we said we would have no Substacks or articles during this summer break with our main coordinator mostly off the grid, but we’ve had a few reports of note in the past week and a request to help honor one of our most cherished locals, tragically no longer with us.
It’s been a time of extreme sadness as one of the greatest activists and humanitarians Reno has ever known J.D. Skinner recently passed away after a battle with cancer, without letting most people around him know he was gravely sick.
His friends have reached out to us asking if anyone has any photos or videos of him in action during the many Monday night Food Not Bombs community meals he coordinated. If you do, please send them along.
