MARILOU
A downtown ambassador told us Marilou, who we reported on previously, was released from the hospital, after a fire burned down her tent and killed her beloved dog. The ambassador told us an investigation is now underway into how the fire was started.
DOCUMENTARY
An Our Town Reno documentary specifically about the importance of pets for our neighbors without stable shelter was accepted into the Dam Short Film Festival, which will take place online in February.
Our Facebook community https://www.facebook.com/ourtownreno reacted with sadness to one more downtown motel the Town House Motor Lodge on 2nd Street being boarded up, meaning fewer motel rooms available for those relying on those for shelter.
