Save the Date! Our 10th Anniversary Event with a Free Mutual Aid Documentary and Zine at the Holland Project April 15th
A recap of our recent reporting plus bonus content.
As we type out this Substack, we are at work on editing a new documentary called Seasons of Growth, highlighting four #sheroesofreno doing so much good for the community through healthy food growing and sharing: Lily Baran, Katie Colling, Melissa Gilbert and Lyndsey Langsdale.
We followed each of them through the last calendar year, documenting their own growth, bringing so much to the 775 as action and thought leaders, always nurturing the world around them.
And now we have a date set with the Holland Project, the evening of April 15th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to premiere the one hour film at no cost to those attending, followed by a stimulating panel discussion with the four of them in attendance. We are also designing a zine to go along with the documentary to hand out for free.
This event will mark ten years since we started the Our Town Reno website, with articles which already had hashtags such as #keeprenogreen and #helpeachother very much in line with this new soon to be completed visual homage to some in our midst always walking the walk.
We’d be honored if you could mark down this event in your calendars to join us, to get away from your keyboards and phones for a few hours in a communal space, to be inspired and then to share your own perspectives.
